Lisa Tarkett Reed: Lisa Tarkett Reed explores shifting spaces and layered forms, lines, and patterns in her work as she develops an evolving vocabulary of images informed and inspired by nature and relationships. Tarkett Reed earned a BFA in Painting at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, where she studied abroad in Rome, Italy. She earned an MFA in Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco, CA. Tarkett Reed has been an art educator for over two decades and exhibits her paintings, drawings, and sculptures regionally and nationally. She has had the honor of being juried into exhibits at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, The State Museum of Pennsylvania, and The Delaplaine Art Center’s National Juried Exhibition. Tarkett Reed serves on the Frederick Arts Council’s Public Art Works Committee and as a grant panelist for the Maryland State Arts Council.
