Appropriated Cascades

Appropriated Cascades, a point of departure, (from the Sticks and Stones series): Sculptor Anthony Caro’s book Cascades repurposed. Using images of Caro’s Cascades series reproduced in the book The Cascades, as points of departure, I have created a book of drawings in India ink, gesso, pen and pencil. All that can be seen of Caro’s work is a patch of color here and a highlighted shape there and, the interacting lines and shapes have grown out of the images of Caro’s sculptures,
